Isn't this just the cutest pattern you'v ever seen! I hate too sew but, I might have to make this! You can find it at fresh squeezed fabrics. My daughter gets me all excited about sewing, the cute material she finds, and the cute things she does with it.  I guess after sewing for my children for years out of neccesity , I don't find it that enjoyable now. Gosh, I went from sewing underwear, sheets, to coats. Many years ago when we found out the Air Force was sending us to Alaska I was freaking out about how I would keep my little ones warm. So, I decided to make a coat for two year old Annalia. I made the coat part out of quilted flannel and then lined the  whole thing with fake fur. It was extremely warm except the poor things arms were always kinda flapping instead of hanging to her sides. You never line sleeves with that thick of material ! She looked darling in it though.

  2. Wow! As an Army wife, all I can say is thank goodness for wal-mart...At least we don't have to make sheets now...but I have used sheets to make curtains before. Maybe you'll find your sewing joy again...I can't believe you made a coat!!!
