would you????

This picture was taken over Snohomish.
That's the Snohomish River.

We have an airfield on the outskirts of town for small planes  , and there's an hot air balloon outfit. So, often on a nice day you'll see a sky full of beautiful air balloons. There is something so beautiful about them, I'm just in awe of them. More than once they'ev been so close to the house we could hear the hot air being released. Now, this dosen't mean I actually want to go up in one, even though I know it'd be one of those life changing moments.I guess I'v heard to many scary stories and value my life. How about you? Would you or have you?

  1. We have a lot of hot air balloons pass over during the summer months. One actually landed in a nearby field and I took photos of it as it came down a few summers ago. I've never actually been up in one, but like you I have no desire whatsover to commit hari karri

  4. You first Cro!If you don't mind me asking? Do you live near the Lot Valley? You said you picked up Lady Magnon in Toulouse, which is where we took the train to , picked up a rental car to go to our yoga retreat. We were close to PUY-L'EVEQUE, loved it there.

  5. Hmmm, I don't know. If I won a ride, absolutely, but I know it would be scary the higher the balloon went up in the air...Don't know that i'd pay good money to put myself through that though.;-)

  6. I went up once. It was my 50th birthday present to myself. I loved every second of it. It's surprising and odd that once up I had no sensation of height. I'm terrified of heights, I get dizzy on the third rung of a ladder. It was the calmest calm I've ever felt, I guess because you're moving with the air and at the same speed. The only thing I can compare it to is standing in the middle of the living room looking down at a beautiful picture on the floor. It was so still, and I felt no fear for even a moment. I highly recommend it! If it wasn't so expensive (I paid $140 for a 15 minute ride and a glass of fake champagne afterward)I'd do it more often, but I expect it will be a once in a lifetime thing. If you have the means, do it!
