life throws us a curve ball....

We've kinda been sitting around this week waiting on a biopsy report. My daughter has a fast growing tumor on her left breast. The breast will have to be removed whether or not it's cancerous. The oncologist said today its a common cancer in young women her age. She also has a spot on her lung they want to check out.So, she'll have a pet scan next week. They inject a glucose into the body and it will attach itself to any cancer and glow. So, now the waiting game. Its the worst.  She's so hoping she won't have to do chemo, and of course that is our hope also. You can imagine the things darting in and out of our minds, trying to let it sink in but not to far. Thinking of the things I'd like to do differently then when our son went through this. I'm appointing myself Becky's caretaker . Of course it'll be alittle easier because she's a girl and she's not 18. Our son wanted to be as in charge as he could, and we allowed him that control as much as possible. He wouldn't have loved the little purse I made for Becky with protien bars in them! Sisters are rallying around, putting their grief for her into action. We'll get through this.....together.     All prayers would be much appreciated......thank-you.

  1. I am teaching tonight and can't fast, but I am going to the temple this weekend. I can do that with a purpose. Big hugs to all of you. Love you.

  2. Prayers said and I will continue to do so. I'm going to Baltimore early Saturday morning to stay with my son and his wife. She was due to have a baby girl last Sunday. I'll be there a week. That little twinkle toes better come as we have done this before-waited and no baby, had to go home. But I sure wish your daughter the best! I'm visualizing only healthy tissue in her body.

  8. I love you Linda, and have loved all your family for over 20 years. Please let everyone know that I will be praying hard and often for our sweet Becky's health and that the doctors will have good eyes to catch everything the first time around. Give Becky a little 'love' from Candy when you see her. We would love to baby sit it she needs help. Love, Candy
