garden in June

This morning I was sitting on the front porch eating my cereal, soaking in the long forgotten sun, when three little children ran in the back door out to the front porch all talking at the same time. In each of their hands were beautiful strawberries and they were pouring them into my cereal! We picked them for you Grandma! And they meant it , they wanted me to have them all! I divided them up between all of us . I'm sure the neighbors could hear us enjoing those delicious strawberries! We went and saw the new Shrek movie, a nice deversion and then spent the rest of the day outside on a blanket or in the hammock. Lance helped me put together my new weed eater. Its perfect for me....battery operated, 24V, light, and easy to start. Can't wait to use it! Hope you all have a nice week-end, working, playing , enjoying family and friends!

  1. Oh Linda. I could really use a 'weed eater'. Why is it that plants we cultivate are often so difficult, yet the ones we don't, grow so easily?

You too; have a good weekend. Sounds like you already are. Cro.

  6. Strawberries for breakfast and then a lovely day in the garden sounds great! Quite intrigued about this weed eater. I've never seen one but he'd sure get fat at our house. Glad you had a good day today. I've been busy in the garden too - wall to wall sunshine here all day today.

  7. No strawberries up here - you must be having a little more sun, although I was in Everett yesterday and it was cold and cloudy.
    Love your June garden!
