good-by to White Jack (oops I mean White Jackie)

It was a sad day when we awoke to find our beloved White Jack dead. She was the best of goats. Loved by all grandchildren. It all started on July 5th, just a day like any other day. My Manly Man staked  her out to eat blackberries in the morning and we went about our daily chores. Of course its silly to place the blame on anyone....what good would that do?....it won't bring her back to us.....but maybe if someone hadn't staked her so close to the bees she'd still be with us.....but, what good would it be to think about that. Of course Jackie shouldn't have butted over the bee hive, very poor decision, which brought about her demise. She leaves behind her brother, they were very close, Black Jack is grieving horribly. I don't think he'll ever understand. Also her mother, but they've been seperated since birth, always a sore spot we didn't talk about. (And if your confused about Jackie's name, we mistakenly called her White Jack all this time, now we know we were wrong.) She will go down in our memories as White Jackie.
(any contributions will go toward an epipen to be put in goat barn)

  1. So sorry to hear about your precious little friend. I love following your blog as well as your girl's. Your entire family is in our prayers. (for reasons besides the passing of your four legged family member :O)!)

  2. Lame! Really? Was he really allergic? That stinks. You know you're going to have to get another goat, right? ....or Jack Black is going to be VERY sad forever.

  3. I thought his name was Jack White not White Jack. We are very sad about our poor Jackie White.

  4. Poor old thing! In the UK, 'Death by Sting' is more usually associated with boredom.

I hope she died quickly. Bisou, Cro.

  5. Uh oh - you are going to have to get another coat, quickly. Our Millie pined after Fella died in the spring, and we ended up with two more goats, but have a happy little herd now.

Yes, were most definatly going to have to get another goat! Wish we had room for a herd Pondside...maybe someday.

Cro, I'm afraid it wasn't the best of deaths.
