fingers for dinner anyone?

From far off these could look like baby rabbits, baby piggies, seals, walrus, (Hannah's helping me come up with things) puppies and snails. I wasn't paying much attention when I was buying my potatoe starts this year, so we have a whole bed of fingerlings.

As funny shaped as they are, their still tasty  as can be. We had a yummy potatoe soup tonight along with Sarah's homemade bread. Her and the children are visiting from Portland for a few days.

  1. We have a variety here called 'Ratte' that looks very similar. As you say, very tasty but not easy to peel. I suppose they're best scrubbed!

  5. Oh Oh Oh! "Pillars of the Earth" is one of the best books ever! Loved it. I gave it to a married couple we know and they took it on a trip to Europe. She was mad at him because he read it the whole time on the plane. He loved it. I haven't seen the mini series yet. Is it good? Now I need to read the sequel. I heard that was good too.
