oh honey, I love you so much!






Wanting to post a picture of the new apron Sarah made me for Mother's Day I asked my manly man to put it on so I could take a picture.

"Why can't you put it on and I'll take the picture?" he asks

"Oh I know which parts I want in." she says

"thank-you , honey."

I just couldn't resist taking a picture, he looked so darn cute!

Well, this is day three of cleaning the bedroom. I hate to say it but, its been a good year since I really cleaned it. I was in bed alot during the winter and just kept adding to my sick bed, cleaning up the house and putting anything I couldn't find a place for, on my floor, anyway..........there is light at the end of the tunnell(at the tunnells).I keep telling myself, "You'v just got to keep it up!"
Anthony came over Mon. and is taking the hunter safty course this week and next, so he can hunt this fall. He's been absolutly terrible, disrespectful, rude and all around bad! Please don't tell Lia, she'd be so horrified!(just kidding Li

    Well, he has been somewhat bad. He told me he was trying to "hunt" birds in the forest today. I told him I didn't think he should shoot things he didn't plan on eating...."Oh, I was going to eat them." Was the reply. I hope I convinced him that they weren't going to be very tasty.

 I've always had a bird feeder, for years now. They bring alot of joy to me, nature so up close and personal. Now that we don't have any pets, we've loved having our bird feeders up again. We have this one tree out back and we have a little of everything for them. A little bird bath, three feeders and a suet feeder. There's usually ten to twenty birds in the tree at all times. Lots of beautiful finches, lots of yard birds, lots of black birds (who are quite noisy) red wing black birds and yellow headed black birds. We finally identified one that we couldn't figure out and its a Evening Grosbeak. Some come and we never see them again, just passing through. But, it's our little obsession right now, gives me something to do every morning. But, dang those birds are eating us out of house and home!

oh honey you shouldn't have

 chop, chop, chop were the sounds I woke up too yesterday. I've been hearing those sounds alot these last few weeks as my manly man has made hot sauce and salsa galore. But..............this morning it was different. I woke up to a beautiful bowl of tabbouleh...my favorite salad. The combination of the bulgar, parsley, cucumber and tomatoes just tickles my palet. My favorite part this time of the year are the pomegranate seeds, they add such color and flavor.(I really shouldn't be eating it but I chewed extra well ummm) Oooops a jar of grape juice just broke, manly man is canning....be right back. O.K. that's cleaned up and I'm heading out for a long overdue walk. It's a lovely day, blue skies and sun.

all is well

My daughter Becky should be home from the hospital soon, her surgery went well. Next the mourning for what was and will never be again, she had a lot of good cries last night. They weighed the breast and it was seven and a half pounds! I knew it was close to ten. Like she said jokingly she was looking forward to getting "alot off her chest". When I talked to her on the phone this morning I asked her how in the world did she ever get anything done with a two year old and 5mon. old! I did manage to get us all clean and fed by eleven. Is that good? And to think I raised six! Todays is Becky's Abbie's birthday, we hope to go to the movies this afternoon. I guess on the way home from the hospital they are picking up a new kitty for the children. They had promised them one when they moved in to their house, so how wonderful of them to realize what a good time it would be to bring one home.
