I'm curled up in bed with my laptop , thinking it's going to be a busy weekend. Lia and I hit target last night, its the first time I'v been there in ages.Every since Fred Myers moved in just a half mile from us and a Coles I can pretty much do my shopping without going far, and my gas tank loves that! So, today the Romero's are visiting, Lia takes her beekeeper test this afternoon, after taking the beginning beekeepers course from Rachel, and if she passes will be a novice beekeeper.Between Tony taking a six month small farming class and Lia's beekeeping class, I think they need to settle down on alittle farm! then..........
The Veatch's are coming over for the day to visit while Mike does carpentry for me, and I need to get up and start making Ranger Cookies. That was his request. His actual words were"If I had Ranger cookies to snack on" it'd be great.And Jim will be happy, their his favorite also.
Tomarrow we head to the Romeros church because Anthony is recieving the priesthood .Our first grandson, what a blessing.Then we have to rush home to feed the missionaries. then..........
Monday were driving over the mountains to eastern WA.to visit my family. My sister Penny is coming in from Arizona and were all meeting for dinner. I havn't seen Penny since my mom died, so it'll be good. And my manly man's going too, which this time of the year will be nice, you never know what the pass will be like. well.......

 I've always had a bird feeder, for years now. They bring alot of joy to me, nature so up close and personal. Now that we don't have any pets, we've loved having our bird feeders up again. We have this one tree out back and we have a little of everything for them. A little bird bath, three feeders and a suet feeder. There's usually ten to twenty birds in the tree at all times. Lots of beautiful finches, lots of yard birds, lots of black birds (who are quite noisy) red wing black birds and yellow headed black birds. We finally identified one that we couldn't figure out and its a Evening Grosbeak. Some come and we never see them again, just passing through. But, it's our little obsession right now, gives me something to do every morning. But, dang those birds are eating us out of house and home!

oh honey you shouldn't have

 chop, chop, chop were the sounds I woke up too yesterday. I've been hearing those sounds alot these last few weeks as my manly man has made hot sauce and salsa galore. But..............this morning it was different. I woke up to a beautiful bowl of tabbouleh...my favorite salad. The combination of the bulgar, parsley, cucumber and tomatoes just tickles my palet. My favorite part this time of the year are the pomegranate seeds, they add such color and flavor.(I really shouldn't be eating it but I chewed extra well ummm) Oooops a jar of grape juice just broke, manly man is canning....be right back. O.K. that's cleaned up and I'm heading out for a long overdue walk. It's a lovely day, blue skies and sun.

all is well

My daughter Becky should be home from the hospital soon, her surgery went well. Next the mourning for what was and will never be again, she had a lot of good cries last night. They weighed the breast and it was seven and a half pounds! I knew it was close to ten. Like she said jokingly she was looking forward to getting "alot off her chest". When I talked to her on the phone this morning I asked her how in the world did she ever get anything done with a two year old and 5mon. old! I did manage to get us all clean and fed by eleven. Is that good? And to think I raised six! Todays is Becky's Abbie's birthday, we hope to go to the movies this afternoon. I guess on the way home from the hospital they are picking up a new kitty for the children. They had promised them one when they moved in to their house, so how wonderful of them to realize what a good time it would be to bring one home.
