A friend of mine took this pictures a few
days ago , just a couple miles from my house.
I thought it was so beautiful.
So, we've had a young man helping Jim with
the front deck (tear down).
Yesterday I came home from shopping
and my beautiful, rotting,cedar rail
fence was GONE.
I knew it was falling down and needed to be
replaced, but, I just wasn't prepared.
I'm still alittle sad about it.
Well, at least I know what I'll be getting for
Valentines Day, birthday and Mothers Day this
year. It'll take all of those to get
my fence up.
Aw, I know what you mean. For me it was not a fence, but rather some trees and bushes that got grossly cut back. They will grow again, I know, but maybe not to the way they used to be, not how I want them, not the I loved them.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely photograph - it works so well with the wriggly lines, then the strong horizontals and the peppering of birds above. It is the kind of photograph I would love to have taken.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your old fence, I would have felt sad too. Perhaps once the new fence is up, and nature begins to work with it, you may grow to like it..
More like a painting than a photo!
ReplyDeleteToo bad about your old fence - I hope that all those gifts turn into a fence you love as much as the old one.
In the words of the Beatles, Linda .... 'All we need is Love' thank you for that lovely post xx
