Well , my cookie week didn't go off quite as planned, .....you know life gets in the way. First bad thing was I lost my desire for making them (never good) , then I spent a few days in bed with my gallbladder, then when I did finally start making them it took me awhile to figure out ..why..none of them were turning out. It only took me three batches....that's not bad is it?
So, I was measuring flour out of our flour bucket with a half cup scoop. I was using it as a full cup scoop. Oops! I did get enough made to have a successful cookie decorating party, we decorated over 200 cookies! ( my neighbor made some too!)Along with a white elephant exchange and some musical chairs it was great fun!

I also have the privilege of being invited to go to the Nutcracker.
It was wonderful! And so fun to go with "the girls".  My daughter in law brought her mother too so both Grandma's got to be there.
We got BOX seats! That alone was worth going, and it was nice because we didn't have to worry about the girls bothering anyway....even though they were awesome. It was so much fun to see them enjoying it so much.
Lovely day!

  2. 1) you might want to think about having that gallbladder out ( I did, and although there are some problems, my quality of life is so much better).
    2) you can always buy cookies

However, you seem to have had a wonderful time with friends and family and what could be better than that.

  5. I counted over 250 cookies left at our house after we had sent lots home with the grand children. I'm thinking there were closer to 500 cookies.
