bees and babies oh my

Well, its been a busy couple of days , but , bees and baby are both here safely. And the bee's had a little shaky trip home. Our friend Don went with Jim and used his truck to haul the trailor. Well, they had some trouble on the trip down and than yesterday after they had the trailor loaded and were half way home Don's truck "blew a rod? no..."threw a rod" basicly Jim said if it'd been a horse they would have shot it. They were a couple hrs. from Portland and our daughter Sarah lives there. So , they called her and asked if she knew anyone and she called her bishop. He asked her "How did you know to call me". He knew immediatly who she should call.....someone that had lost his job, desperate for money, and had a disel truck that could pull the trailor. So, he came and got them and they headed home just running a few hrs. behind. And it was very cool so the bees were doing great. Heavenly Father is so good to us, how I love him. Just talked to my manly man and all but a hundred of the boxes were picked up today, tomarrow will be a light day.

As for me......we went and saw the baby this morning, it was so sweet as each child got to hold the baby, I got some sweet pictures. Then Sarah arrived from Portland and her and Tony went to the hospital while I spent the next six hrs. with ll of my grandchildren. They had alot of fun playing together, and Lilly and I bonded.I'm exhausted, but a good exhausted.

 I've always had a bird feeder, for years now. They bring alot of joy to me, nature so up close and personal. Now that we don't have any pets, we've loved having our bird feeders up again. We have this one tree out back and we have a little of everything for them. A little bird bath, three feeders and a suet feeder. There's usually ten to twenty birds in the tree at all times. Lots of beautiful finches, lots of yard birds, lots of black birds (who are quite noisy) red wing black birds and yellow headed black birds. We finally identified one that we couldn't figure out and its a Evening Grosbeak. Some come and we never see them again, just passing through. But, it's our little obsession right now, gives me something to do every morning. But, dang those birds are eating us out of house and home!

oh honey you shouldn't have

 chop, chop, chop were the sounds I woke up too yesterday. I've been hearing those sounds alot these last few weeks as my manly man has made hot sauce and salsa galore. But..............this morning it was different. I woke up to a beautiful bowl of tabbouleh...my favorite salad. The combination of the bulgar, parsley, cucumber and tomatoes just tickles my palet. My favorite part this time of the year are the pomegranate seeds, they add such color and flavor.(I really shouldn't be eating it but I chewed extra well ummm) Oooops a jar of grape juice just broke, manly man is canning....be right back. O.K. that's cleaned up and I'm heading out for a long overdue walk. It's a lovely day, blue skies and sun.

all is well

My daughter Becky should be home from the hospital soon, her surgery went well. Next the mourning for what was and will never be again, she had a lot of good cries last night. They weighed the breast and it was seven and a half pounds! I knew it was close to ten. Like she said jokingly she was looking forward to getting "alot off her chest". When I talked to her on the phone this morning I asked her how in the world did she ever get anything done with a two year old and 5mon. old! I did manage to get us all clean and fed by eleven. Is that good? And to think I raised six! Todays is Becky's Abbie's birthday, we hope to go to the movies this afternoon. I guess on the way home from the hospital they are picking up a new kitty for the children. They had promised them one when they moved in to their house, so how wonderful of them to realize what a good time it would be to bring one home.
