.....she had so many eggs, she didn't know what to do.........

So she made bread pudding! Duck eggs, chicken eggs and Guinea! One of  My Manly mans favorite deserts is custard ,bread pudding and rice pudding, so I indulge him once in a while. So, to make bread pudding , first

stir up your eggs and pour them into your cooking dish and start pouring milk in til about an inch to the top.Its usually about 8-10 eggs to four cups of milk.

Stir that together and add nutmeg , cinnamon, 1t.vanilla and 1/2 or so cup of sugar or honey.

At this point you can put this in the oven and make custard (1hr. 350) or you can break up any kind of bread in it and have bread pudding. I usually use a whole wheat bread, but any kind will do, French bread is really good, or I heard of one recipe that they put cinnamon rolls in which I'm sure is wonderful! I try to make it alittle nutrious, I throw in some raisins & sometimes nuts.

When you put it in the oven set it on a cookie sheet and fill it with water , I thinks that helps it cook smoother?? Cook at 350 for 45 mins. or so, wait til it doesn't jiggle in the middle.

Its yummy with alittle whipped cream on it. Enjoy!

  3. 'Jiggle in the middle'. Is that an obscure culinary term?

Sorry to say, but I imagine this is something like 'Bread and Butter Pudding'; the one thing I cannot eat! My loss, I'm sure.
