part two: girls just want to have fun

Victoria, B.C.

We stayed at the "Empress Hotel" such an incredibly beautiful
old hotel.

We took "High Tea" which was
lovely.

The Parliament House built a few years before the
Empress  by the same architect.

Awesome topiary

We went to the Butchart Gardens the most stunning
gardens I've ever seen! 55 acres of beautiful, designed
and built by a lady who wanted people that came
to her house (from the cove mostly) to see something
beautiful and not the deserted limestone quarry that her and her
husband had made their living from. She tied ropes to a chair and
had the work men lower her into the quarry and she'd plant ivy in
the cracks. She wouldn't let them do it because she didn't want
them to get hurt, that's the kind of lady she was.
If you ever have the chance!
