It's been such a wonderful week. My trip to eastern wa. turned out to be one of those
trips your so glad you took.Seeing Susan, reconnecting with old
friends, visiting with family, it was lovely. Made it home the day before Thanksgiving.
Susan's on comfort care so I'll be back over there again before Christmas. Bless you
my dear friend.

So enjoyed everyones company for Thanksgiving! Love our

This is Kirstin and Luna. Kirstin belonged to Luna's mother
when she was ten. Luna's loved her like her mom did.
So...when I asked her Saturday if she'd like to go to the "American
Girl " doll store , she jumped up and down and was pretty excited.
We had a wonderful time, looking at all the dolls , cloths and accessories.
Kirstin had a make over (badly needed) and I tried
my hardest to get her to send Kirstin to the hospital for a new head
of hair. To no avail.  She said she couldn't live
a day without her.(so sweet) We had a great time, they were so sweet to
all the girls with their dolls and really treated them special.
Hmmmm still can't decide which one I want for my house (for the grandkids of course).

    I can't believe how many toys, books, art supplies, etc. I've added for the grands. I specifically remember giving that all away years ago. I love the American Doll store and would have given anything to have one when I was growing up. However, I had a Ginny Doll and that was the best ever!!

 I've always had a bird feeder, for years now. They bring alot of joy to me, nature so up close and personal. Now that we don't have any pets, we've loved having our bird feeders up again. We have this one tree out back and we have a little of everything for them. A little bird bath, three feeders and a suet feeder. There's usually ten to twenty birds in the tree at all times. Lots of beautiful finches, lots of yard birds, lots of black birds (who are quite noisy) red wing black birds and yellow headed black birds. We finally identified one that we couldn't figure out and its a Evening Grosbeak. Some come and we never see them again, just passing through. But, it's our little obsession right now, gives me something to do every morning. But, dang those birds are eating us out of house and home!

oh honey you shouldn't have

 chop, chop, chop were the sounds I woke up too yesterday. I've been hearing those sounds alot these last few weeks as my manly man has made hot sauce and salsa galore. But..............this morning it was different. I woke up to a beautiful bowl of tabbouleh...my favorite salad. The combination of the bulgar, parsley, cucumber and tomatoes just tickles my palet. My favorite part this time of the year are the pomegranate seeds, they add such color and flavor.(I really shouldn't be eating it but I chewed extra well ummm) Oooops a jar of grape juice just broke, manly man is canning....be right back. O.K. that's cleaned up and I'm heading out for a long overdue walk. It's a lovely day, blue skies and sun.

all is well

My daughter Becky should be home from the hospital soon, her surgery went well. Next the mourning for what was and will never be again, she had a lot of good cries last night. They weighed the breast and it was seven and a half pounds! I knew it was close to ten. Like she said jokingly she was looking forward to getting "alot off her chest". When I talked to her on the phone this morning I asked her how in the world did she ever get anything done with a two year old and 5mon. old! I did manage to get us all clean and fed by eleven. Is that good? And to think I raised six! Todays is Becky's Abbie's birthday, we hope to go to the movies this afternoon. I guess on the way home from the hospital they are picking up a new kitty for the children. They had promised them one when they moved in to their house, so how wonderful of them to realize what a good time it would be to bring one home.
