Orange you seven Chloe?



Chloe just turned seven sunday and here's my second little picture. I think I'll make these for all the kids this year......my little gray cells are already thinking of different ways to personalize them...hmmmmmmm.

So, I'm off to Salt Lake tomarrow night, I'm excited to be going on alittle jont (sp?).I'm going to a friends, daughters wedding. I'm staying long enough to have alot of me time for geneology,sight seeing (always love being around temple square),and most of all refilling my cup.I might even jump on my bed, for Becky. I was hoping for some sun but as it looks now like I'll be leaving sun and going to rain,snow and more rain. Man! Next year I'm going to Arizona and visit my sister this time of year! I'v tripled up on my vitamin D recently, since my dr. said tons of people are running around with a deficiency and I showed a defiency in my blood work. It's so nice today that my manly man said he puttered in the garden alittle. Jims such a good putterer, seriously he could win a contest. Once when we lived in Richland we lived in a duplex and shared a garden with our neighbors. One Sat. morning Jim went to work in the garden and my neighbors husband also went out. I was watching out the window , I could see Randy's hoe just flying , he was through in a half hour. Hours later Jim was still out there. Part of me wishes I could be more like that, but, part of me just wants to finish. I have slowed down though and don't get near as much done as I used to..............age, health, lazy, ????????????

    Have an Awesome time! Jumping on the bed sounds fun.
    We moved my MIL out of the house this last weekend and yesterday the first thing I did when I came in was yell "Wahooooo!" We have had to be so cautious about how loud we were so we would not irritate her. I do love my MIL, but it has been a little stressful.

 I've always had a bird feeder, for years now. They bring alot of joy to me, nature so up close and personal. Now that we don't have any pets, we've loved having our bird feeders up again. We have this one tree out back and we have a little of everything for them. A little bird bath, three feeders and a suet feeder. There's usually ten to twenty birds in the tree at all times. Lots of beautiful finches, lots of yard birds, lots of black birds (who are quite noisy) red wing black birds and yellow headed black birds. We finally identified one that we couldn't figure out and its a Evening Grosbeak. Some come and we never see them again, just passing through. But, it's our little obsession right now, gives me something to do every morning. But, dang those birds are eating us out of house and home!

oh honey you shouldn't have

 chop, chop, chop were the sounds I woke up too yesterday. I've been hearing those sounds alot these last few weeks as my manly man has made hot sauce and salsa galore. But..............this morning it was different. I woke up to a beautiful bowl of tabbouleh...my favorite salad. The combination of the bulgar, parsley, cucumber and tomatoes just tickles my palet. My favorite part this time of the year are the pomegranate seeds, they add such color and flavor.(I really shouldn't be eating it but I chewed extra well ummm) Oooops a jar of grape juice just broke, manly man is canning....be right back. O.K. that's cleaned up and I'm heading out for a long overdue walk. It's a lovely day, blue skies and sun.

all is well

My daughter Becky should be home from the hospital soon, her surgery went well. Next the mourning for what was and will never be again, she had a lot of good cries last night. They weighed the breast and it was seven and a half pounds! I knew it was close to ten. Like she said jokingly she was looking forward to getting "alot off her chest". When I talked to her on the phone this morning I asked her how in the world did she ever get anything done with a two year old and 5mon. old! I did manage to get us all clean and fed by eleven. Is that good? And to think I raised six! Todays is Becky's Abbie's birthday, we hope to go to the movies this afternoon. I guess on the way home from the hospital they are picking up a new kitty for the children. They had promised them one when they moved in to their house, so how wonderful of them to realize what a good time it would be to bring one home.
